Music teacher, Elexa, of Lexicon of Love hand creates each piece in the shop in Atlanta.
"My story isn’t over" is a mixed media original collage and painting on canvas. It is one of the first pieces. Folks at Elexa's art show have opened up about how this inspirational quote has been helpful for their children dealing with other mental disorders from bipolar, autism, Asperger's, and Attention Deficit Disorder. Elexa herself is an advocate for the destigmatizing of mental health and walks annually in the NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) Walks.
The original painting shown in the pictures is on canvas and uses sheet music, vintage book pages, acrylic paints, and black sharpie. The original art canvas shown in the picture measures 8x10 inches. Elexa can recreate this painting to be any of the sizes she offers such as 9x12, 11x14, 12x16, 16x20 and 18x24.
Paintings are always received in clear sealed wrapping against a hard card stock with a small artist biography card included.
